Advanced Technology

CEREC– CEREC is the short term for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or CEramic REConstruction. CEREC uses CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing) technology to give us the opportunity to do same-day restorations and provide the patient with better fitting crowns.

Fotona Laser– The Fotona Laser is a FDA approved hard and soft tissue laser that has been revolutionizing the dental industry for years. One of its various uses we appreciate most at our office is the ability to treat certain cavities comfortably without any anesthetic or drilling. For restorative dentistry procedures, the Fotona Laser system makes dental decay and cavity removal fast, minimally invasive, and easy!

Intraoral Cameras- An intraoral camera is a small video camera that takes a color photo of something in or around your mouth. In addition to being a great diagnostic tool, the intraoral camera is a fantastic educational aid. Instead of just explaining to you what’s happening inside your mouth, our intraoral cameras give us the opportunity to show you.

Digital X-Rays- is a form of x-ray imaging, where digital x-ray sensors are used instead of traditional film. There are several advantages to digital x-rays including time efficiency (by avoiding chemical processing) and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Also, less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography. Instead of x-ray film, digital radiography uses a digital image capture device. This gives advantages of immediate image preview and availability.
